Meet the Founders
Hi! We’re Noah and Malia McCoy, the husband-and-wife team behind Halea Coffee.
Coffee has been part of our everyday life for years. From making espresso at home and trying new coffee shops around San Diego to experimenting with house-made syrups and making coffee for friends, our love for the craft continued to grow. Paired with Malia’s professional barista experience, it naturally led us to create a coffee experience of our own to share with others.
But for us, great coffee is only half of the experience. Our heart for Halea is rooted in genuine hospitality—how you make someone feel matters just as much as what you serve them. We want each guest we serve to feel cared for and excited about what’s in their cup.
When we’re not behind the cart, you could find us reading, driving by the beach, and checking out a new coffee shop. And while Malia is out surfing, Noah is often working on his own craft, creating handmade leather goods through Laniakea Leathercrafts.

We proudly serve Vista Bean Coffee, organically farmed in Uganda and locally roasted in CA. Their direct-trade approach supports farming families through fair compensation, sustainable practices, and long-term partnership.
